Meet Our Team
Caroline DuellFounder, President
Caroline has been making herbal medicines for herself, her friends and family since 1995, and developed the formula for All Good Goop in 1998. In 2005 she realized it was turning into a business, and established Elemental Herbs in the end of that year. Much has happened in that time, but the process and attention to detail for that original product remains unchanged. With an all-star team, including her husband, Ryan, she doesn’t know how she ever did it without everyone. When not entrenched in company growth, Caroline loves to play on granite rocks, single-track trails, windblown waves and untracked snowfields, all with an eye for new adventures.
Favorite EH Product: “SPF 33 Sunscreen Sport. I use it everyday.”
Growing up in Maine on a 150 acre farm with no electricity or running water, Burr learned early on about the importance of caring for the environment and conserving its natural resources. Since joining Elemental Herbs in 2006 his role has grown from Designer to Director of Marketing and as of March, 2008 a Co-Owner in Elemental Herbs. When Burr isn’t tapping the keys of his computer you can often find him gardening in his back yard with his wife and two children, riding his road bike in West Marin or running the trails of Mt. Tam.
Favorite EH Product: “Herbal Cool. I take it with me on long training runs and rides.”
Audrey Taub Goop Maven
Audrey joined Elemental Herbs in March 2008 to help out with office work and shipping. She has now taken on coordination of all in house production. She makes All Good Goop with a team of dedicated herbal goddesses! With a diverse background from Washington State wilderness education to NYC financial institutions, Audrey is an expert mathematician and keen animal tracker.
Favorite EH Product: “All Good Goop. I have a big jar for everything. My son Sage loves that it doesn’t sting when he puts it on a bug bite.”
Jennifer HajduAdministrative Sales Assistant
Jennifer grew up in SLO County and made her dreams come true when she moved back to the Central Coast with her husband and two dogs after a 26 year absence. She was drawn to Elemental Herbs after experiencing the benefits of using herbal remedies in her own life. As an Administrative Sales Asistant for Elemental Herbs, Jennifer uses her sales experience and account management background to help customers with orders and educating people on the benefit of using our products that are good for their bodies and for the environment. In her free time you’ll find her hiking in Montana de Oro, volunteering at Pacific Wildlife Care, or planning her next travel adventure.
Favorite EH Product: “I take a Coconut Sunstick wherever I go to protect my skin from the sun. It goes on smooth and smells amazing!”
Ryan RichCo-Owner/Director of Sales
Ryan has been consulting for Elemental Herbs for years and came on board officially in January 2009 to manage national sales accounts, distributors and sales rep teams. As an organic farmer and organic food broker, he brings extensive experience from these industries. Ryan’s passion is growing food and implementing sustainable farm systems. In his not so spare time, he’s an activist and political junkie; but if there is wind blowing on the coast or fresh snow falling in the mountains, you’ll know where to find him.
Favorite EH Product: “Herbal Cool. It has replaced my need for Advil to take the edge off chronic pain.”
An avid surfer and SLO native, Ian brings a diverse skill-set to the EH team. He has a background spanning consumer goods, biotechnology and finance. At Elemental Herbs, he runs daily business operations and keeps an eye on planning for current and future growth. A proud father of two, Ian shares the company’s vision of providing high-quality products that are healthy for our bodies and the planet. When not strategizing with the group, he is likely off on an adventure with his family, trail running with his dog, or exploring surf spots along the beautiful Central Coast.
Favorite EH product: “A close tie between the SPF 33 Sunscreen Sport and the Coconut Suntick. Both work great and are safe for my kids and the ocean!”
Amanda PawelczykSales & Marketing/Events Coordinator
A northern California transplant, Amanda adds fantastic energy to the team. She assists in sales calls, store visits, event coordination, website updates and operations; sometimes a little bit of everything. Amanda was born and raised in the Tahoe area and now has been soaking up the benefits on the central coast. She’s always up for an adventure, be it kayak fishing, running or back to the mountains to play! With an early influence in healthful practices, Amanda has shared her positive influences in her employment: from ski resorts, child development, construction to medicine. If you call the office, you might just get to talk to Amanda!
Favorite EH Product: “Copper Canyon Active Beauty Lip Tint with our Organic Original lip balm over it. Same great benefits of All Good Lips but ‘girlified’ up!”
Barbara RussellKeeper of the Product
As an experienced salve maker, Barbara joined the All Good Goop production crew in 2012. When not in the harmonizing, laughter-filled Goop kitchen, you will find Barbara making sure inventory is in order. Born in Nebraska, raised on the east coast, she comes to the central California coast via the Pacific NW rain forests.
Barbara came to be an organic advocate after she and her daughter became ill due to what was loosely called environmental poisoning. Always proactive, Barbara designed and built a non-toxic home to support her family’s health. It worked. While she has interests that range from wilderness survival to quantum physics, this expert scientist is deeply involved in connecting folks to their environment.
Favorite EH Product: “All Good Goop. It works on everything from sore muscles to headaches and insect bites. Love it!”
